I have a P4 2.66 northwood, and i'm getting some high temps, 53-60c :(, I have water cooling installed and a load of fans, i'm just wondering if my motherboard is lying to me :eh?:. I have also just purchased a new case, gfx card and motherboard, and every time i go to overclock to say 3ghz, the dam thing crashes (bear in mind i'm pretty new to overclocking  ).

My System specs are as follows

P4 2.66ghz Northwood 533mhz
2x512mb PC2700
ATI Sapphire X800SE 256mb gfx card
Gigabyte 8PE667 Ultra Mobo
Apollo Case
Jeantech 450w psu
Coolermaster Aquagate water cooling
4x 80mm fans
2x 120mm fans

I just ran 3dMark 03 and managed a score of 7262. I would like to punch it further, but without the risk of my cpu overheating.

Sounds like your water cooling isn't working that well.

I've never done any water cooling, so unfortunately I can't help you.
I'm sure there are some in here who have though that will. --Lutzy

increase CPU core voltage & better/faster ram... or run it at 5:4 at the very least
