Gigabyte 6600gt and HL2 issues?

I just received a gigabyte 6600gt. Everything runs great untill I run HL2. The game runs but I can see the poligons making up shapes. Anyone run into this problem? Keep in mind that every other game that I run, runs GREAT. Any suggestions on what I could try to fix this?

Well, HL2 supposedly takes an extreme system to run optimumly. What are your system stats?
