i wont be mean and say "search" but i asked this question little bit ago, but it breaks down to, if your building a desktop, get a desktop CPU, b/c the mobiles just wont cut it from all the tasks we can throw at them. IN SOME RARE cases, the mobile will be better, power management (for you earth phreaks) and they runn signifcantly cooler, which means you can run a smaller case and less fans to keep the system cool, maximum p.c. just relased a mag that shows a mobile cpu/desktop system setup, and the title was Quiet PC, no perormance machine, i hope that helps. a bit, you can PM, i have alittle more info i can share if you need any more info. :santa:
also on a hightech note, they are alot better to overclock, b/c they are made for laptops and laptops need to be rugged so they are made from better materials and mfged with even more care, so they are more stable when fed with more volts to get the higher clock speeds, oh yeah one more thing, they are more $$$$ per ghz too. so that SUX!

The dothan has a short pipeline and acts more like what we expect from AMD. Better in gaming and such than a regular P4. Overclocks pretty good too. Takes special motherboards or adapters which arent out yet. Not as good in regular desktop stuff as a normal P4 though.
