If anyones ever wondered how an RMA goes with a Sandisk product, in particular a 128MB cruzer mini. The drive started to fail to be recognized when plugged into USB ports, would have to retry about 5 times before a success.
Called them up, after going thru a few menus got to speak to a real live english speaking RMA guy. Asked a few questions, name, address, serial number on the product. Also asked when I purchased it, couldn't remember exactly when, I said within a year, but that I could look it up on newegg.com. HE ACTUALLY GAVE ME THE TIME TO GO THROUGH MY NEWEGG ORDER HISTORY ON THE PHONE!
So all that gets done, they send me an email, with information on loggin to there ebox thing they use. I get a free 2-day FedEX shipping label from them, arrange for FedEX to pick it up from me at work.
About a week passes before I see them update the RMA status to accepted.
Finally gets updated and they ship it back to me using UPS ground.
This is what confused me, they give me a FedEX label to ship it to the, then they use UPS ground to send it back?
Took about 2.5 weeks from the 1st phone call to get a replacement.
Pretty good job, didn't cost me a dime, very little work on my part accept for printing and taping labels to a box.
