you have a 6800 ultra and 3500, you should be able to play everything with the exception doom 3 at max settings with lots of aa

in short you really dont need to be concerned with the settings, if your looking at the game, get it set the settings at max and then mess around with aa and af, because the only limiting factor might be that you cant run at max AA and AF

What people don't realize you won't beable to run anywhere near MAX.

You can run mid-high on that setup you got there. EQ2 was designed to be good for a couple years into the future with specs. Just shadows drop 1/3FPS, add in advanced shadows take another 1/2 to 2/3 off the total from adding the shadows. Adding AA or AF is way out of the question currently with todays setups unless you run low settings/res.

I ran at 1280x1024 and had a decent higher setting and was still hard to pull 30-40FPS normally in the fields, city 20-25FPS, and fighting it could dip to 12FPS easily.

Probably since they don't even play EQ2 or haven't.

Like deathman20 said, the game is designed so that any every rig out there cannot run max, even with 2 6800 Ultras in SLI along with 2 GB of RAM and a FX-55. The graphics are just that damn good.

In short, no you cannot run max settings in game without suffering from a constant 1 FPS!

I ran a s939 3000+ @ 2.5 ghz with a x800xt and at 1280x1024. I ran at high settings with shadows disabled and I still only averaged 25fps in the cities. EQ2 is insane on graphics.
