my p3 1GHz 133 could only be stable @150fsb 1.8V. it will post @159fsb but not too stable. i just wonder why it never go up to 160fsb. I am using an original heatsink and fan. what temperature is considered to be acceptable? Thanks

Mine needed 1.9CV before it would do 160FSB but you really need a better HSF get a Goldengate\Gladiator for 20 to 25 bucks [look in cyber deals for the link] and you will probably be able to go much higher then 160 [unless you have something else holding you back] you may also want a few case fans and you will need to put a small HSF on your northbridge, and you should atleast get 160 maybe even more rite now my system very close to yours is at 172FSB. One more note you may need to set your memory in BIOS to minus clock speed and make sure sideband is disabled in registry. As far as temps you will need to get youir temps under 40C at full load the farther you overclock the more sensitive your CPU will be towards high temps as it stands if mine gets to 33C it will lock up but i'm pushing it hard.

forgot this some NIC cards do not like to be overclocked that much and some not at all you may want to try without it being installed if you get stuck again

If it's unstable at 159 then it probably isn't going to be stable at 160...especially with the OEM hsf. Do look for another one...
