I'm looking at getting a Dell 9300 because they have the really good offers like $800 off a $1999 purchase and stuff like that. I'm kinda hesitant though because I'm wondering if Intel is going to put out a 64-bit Centrino chip? Do they have any plans for dual-cores Pentium Ms. I just don't want to buy this laptop and then all of a sudden this summer "whoa, did you hear what Intel is coming out with, 64-bit Centrinos with dual-cores". I hate it when that happens.

according to latest roadmaps, next PM will be dualcore Yonah with improved SSE* and fpu, but it doesn't have 64bit capability..
but the PM after yonah, namely the Merom (+ its desktop counterpart Conroe) will
have 2x2M cache, 64bit capability and some other improvements.
but afaik it'll be introduced 2H 2006..
