I wanna add 3 switches that have off,7volts,12volts
one for dd cube
one for trans radiator
one for case fans

those arnt too hard to wire but I want also a on,off switch on my pump

the problem is that I want my computer to work ONLY if a radiator fan is on and my pump is on + I want everything to go on manualy so no auto stuff

Im thinking I need some kind of relay or togle switch but Ive never delt with either

Let me try to wade myself though this post.... :wade, wade:

Here I go...
OK, you will need your radiator fan and pump hooked directly up somehow to your case switch. That way, when you turn on the pooter, it will turn on the radiator fan too. I dunno how to do that with these new ATX switches...

Then, you need to get two types of switches. One that will have two positions (7V and 12V for the radiator. you don't want to turn it ever off you said), and the other two fans need three position switches.

I'll try to get a diagram drawn up. It should be here soon.

ok you got some of it right

let me clear this up a bit
I want everything to turn on only on my command even the computer
I just wanted a safe guard if I forgot to plug in or turn on a powersupple like when I go to lan parties I wont burn my cpu
I want my computer to only operate if one or more of my radiator fans are on and my pump on however I dont want my computer to turn on when I turn my radiator fans or pump on
I will make a normal on/off switch for my computer like normal
I just dont see how I can hook up this safe guard with my AC pump and DC fans though:(

I got my 3 switchs that have 3 setting today and 1 switch that just has a on/off
I forgot to tell you that all my fans are going to run off my 250watt AT powersupply

WOW! Drawing that circut was a LOT harder than I thought it would be!

Here is a diagram. It should be right, but I'm not totally sure.
Also, the pump should be hooked up to a relay providing power when the case gets power. Dunno how to do this....

BTW: The dashed lines in the switch hookup diagram are to show that the switch is a ganged switch (two switches hooked up so when one turns on or off, the other does the same).

Hope it isn't TOO confusing....
Any help from any other electronics people??

ok I think I know what Im going to do now

Thanks for the diagram you gave me a much clearer idea of how Im going to wire up my fans:)

ACK IF ONLY MY WEBCAM WAS SUPPORTED IN XP!

i originally had a toggle-sort of switch box for pyrotechnic e-match applications....but i converted it recently for use in my fans...and hopefully i can mod it yet again for my watercooling

hehe....just go to radioshack....pick up a 12v power supply....lots and lots of LED's and switches (the LED's so u got one of those badass russian fail-safe lookalikes...hehe...add a key security feature too ....u have no idea how powerful it makes u feel...lol)
and one of those small tronics black boxes that u can mount everything on

grab some coke....the soldering iron....more coke....and start work at 3 am (that way your mind will be at its peak and you'll subconsciously figure everything out "mystically")

sorry...my mind hurts too much right now to actually make a cool diagram....maybe by tommorrow i can make one for yas...or get my hands on my friends digital camera....cuz im sure once u saw it it would all make sense to ya...

oh oh....i might suggest the use of potentiameteres(spelling??!??!)

especially for fans...you can get it right to that sweetspot between performance and noise (again...the coolness factor on these are pretty high as well!!! might i suggest a 10 LED hookup ...green/yellow/red to show at what % its running at also? lol)

sorry...now im just making things more difficult :P

but seriously...if u could see the picture of this thing....ITS AWESOME!!!

might i suggest a 10 LED hookup

I was realy going to do that but it was going to take too much work hehe=/

and as for the potentiameteres I burned my last one out and I already spent $15 on the switches so Im going with the switchs but maybe I will still put some LED's in=]
