these have been used to set a number of air cooling records. the xp-90 c's and new zalmans are very nice, and this sucker here does weigh a ton, but for $25 it cannot be beat.

nope I didnt mean completely free shipping - my cost would have been $5 to ship ground, but I bought an acrylic case as well - when I got a shipping estimate for just the case, it was the same as it ended up being for the case + hyper6 when I checked out. hence, if you buy the right things, whatever those might be, they will not charge you extra to ship the hyper6. buut by it by itself and you no doubt pay for shipping. but it is reasonable.

reviews wise, this is defineately in the topmost rank of aircooling, somewhere between #1 and #3. I think it would depend on the fan used, most review used the single bundled fan. strap a tornado on each side I think it would be the best, maybe equal with xp90c. though I would like the extra ram cooling of xp90, it is near double this price, and I only bought this for air benching new chips. I have two phase change units, a chiller, peltiers, and good watercooling when I want to get serious.

I wouldnt drop your xp90 since you have it - but check out xtremesystems.org - where most of the world's overclocking record holders reside, and you will see that almost every insane air overclock in the last six months has been done on a hyper6. it is a steal at this price. I would only consider the xp90c over this, even though I have yet to see any records set on it.

the xp120 is NOT $35, and the xp120 isnt even as good a cooler as the xp90. Ill take this hyper6 over the 120, as I said there is a reason all the record air overclocks use it.

Well, I bought 2 of these a few weeks ago. I just recently put it on my new A64 Venice. Currently my temps are 29C Idle & 34C Load (P95), not overclocked. This is with 2x 80mm fans in push-pull, 48CFM 25db. Not too bad. Ambient temp of 24C.
