I have an OC'd 6600GT and specs in sig... I think my CS:Source might be artifacting but I can't tell if it's a buggy engine or what! I will sometimes see textures flashing to like a distorted white-noise color and back to normal, or sometimes to black.
Also after less than an hour of playing, the game will freeze and the sound will start to studder the last ~0.5s of sound. After about 10 seconds of that studder, it studders about the next ~0.5s of would-be sound. After that going for 10 seconds, the game will make a high-pitched buzzing noise in the right speaker for another 5-10 seconds then the game will resume and I can play fine! It may happen again in another 20 minutes after that or so. The weird thing is, I don't experience ANY freeze/artifacts running any 3DMark benchmarks.
Anybody experienced these problems in HL2 or Source? To be exact, it's one of the double-boxes in CT spawn on dust2 and down the ramp from CT spawn in cbble on the walls that's giving me problems as far as incorrect flashing textures.
Obviously, it's because my 6600GT is OC'd. What are the max OC's some other people have had with this card. Do my clocks in my sig look too high and is the artifacting (vs game fully locking and having to force-exit it) more likely to be caused by the core or memory?
