Ok, I haven't taken the plunge into the amd 64 system yet, but I am getting close. I like to make my own blocks and I have one question about mounting the cooling block on a 64 board

I realize that there are only 2 holes for mounting the block. What size of bolt will fit in the hole. and are the holes threaded?

Thanks

IIRC, most companies use 6-32 screws for mounting the blocks

I make my own blocks too, and mounted the blocks I made on a barton core 2500 with M4 bolts + springs over a polycarbonate plate to press the block down. I've just upgraded to a 3200 winch on an MSI K8N neo 2, but have left it with stock AMD cooling at the mo - so haven't looked at the holes, but they won't be threaded as the manual describes removing the retention mech and shows plain pcb holes. I'd go with M4 bolts, about 70 - 100mm long. you can always saw them to fit if you buy longer. Sorry it's not a definitive answer - will be making a block for it sometime in the next few months though.
