I am looking for a Sub with a built in Amp, as the title suggests. Something like the Sub from the Gigaworks range, but with Connectors for HiFi Sattelites.

i dont know of any place that sells subs like that
the only ones i have seen like that come in a full set and as far as i know cant be purchased seperately.
your best bet would be to get a regular powered sub and a reciever to power the rest of the speakers.

There are actually a lot of subs that are powered that have sat out. They are a little more expensive though. Axiom has one.

I am looking to make a complete setup for about £250. So that wil include Speakers, Sub, Reciever (Do I want a reciever or an amp, I dont know much about audio) and two sets of satellites.
Can you make me some reccomendations. The main things I want is there not to be any hissing present when at low volumes. There is with my current speakers and it drives me mad. I mainly listen to MP3s and play Games so I guess high end stuff would be overkill?
I can get anything except the sub from the US.

If you are going the powered route you won't need a hi powered integrated amp. Just buy something with a little more useful features that you can use.

Or just go and buy these then you wont need a sub although one will be desirable.

In the end its probably easier if I just buy an external amp. Reccomendations for a setup?

Well i cant say shiite since i dont know what prices are like in the UK ... but i can say that buying studio monitors is an option. Rokit 6 will be about the price you said there. If i remember correctly thats about 500 canadian.

Studio monitors?
Prices in England are terrible compared to US. Though something like an AMP or seatellites I can get friends in the US to bring over.

Yes, studio monitors, pro audio. They are powered, excellent in the near field and start out relatively cheap. The larger units become stable far mid field but nave a wide but short sound stage (stand up and it goes away) those photos i have are of Krk Rokit 8 which i am using for everything right now, i also bought an NhT SW12 and something to seal the port. I havent cracked it open yet till i hear back about a 12 thats sealed and powered from Tannoy. I wanna know if its any good first.
