Hey ya'll
Well i got great help from the ATI Forums this week so i thought i would try here for another issue that i need solved.

I took the side of my case off my computer and noticed that around the window pane there are slots for LED's to fit. I already have LED's on the front of the case (burnt out now) from factory when i bought it. I want to add LED's to the window pane if I can. What I need to know is how do I solder them in? What do i need to know to make this work? Do i get the power from one of the cd drive power sources or is there another better way to do it. I have never soldered a LED light system yet, but I do solder MOD chips into Xbox's so the soldering part of it won't be an issue. Any one have experiance with soldering in LED light systems?

Thanks

well, if you are gonna solder the LEDs in, might as well make em paralleled..... get a spare molex extension cable, and then get a wire...

now, get the right kind of resistor (dunno how many ohms) so that it resists 12v to the voltage of the LED, and then solder that to the wire... solder the other end of the resistor to the yellow wire on the molex (after you remove the pin, of course... guide in my sig)... then, solder that wire to the positive legs of all of the LEDs... then get another wire, and solder that to a black wire on the molex... then solder that wire to all of the negative legs of the LEDs...

then mount the LEDs, and you're set ^^

L.E.D.'s are usually ~2-3 Volts or so, not sure on the current draw, that varies pretty widely. So you could put two in series, the rest in parallel to that, on the five volt rail, then you won't need a resistor.
