random restarts after 18-36 hours of stress testing, thinking its cause of soft power in the house, i get lights to dim a lot, and i think that a UPS may be a good idea for making it stable.

*i dont know if this should go in the case / power suppluy section, didnt see this in there

A UPS really wouldn't hurt anything except your budget perhaps. Maybe your PSU isn't the best quality? Have you tested RAM and such? It may be a heat thing with the hard drive, RAM, CPU, chipset, video card...etc.

yeah, before i bought a UPS, i would make sure i had a good PSU. you shouldnt need a UPS unless your house wiring is old and crappy. is the powersupply you have just one that came with your case?

i am not saying that it wil cure your proble . but i think everyone should have a power condishiner or ups because of the fluxuation of power provided by the electric companies . one of the most danderous thangs to hapen to a computer is a brownout. most people protect their computer from hight voltage but very little is done about low voltage which a usp will help with .
