I just bought, among other things, a 120mm fan that puts out some good air at a low noise level but it has a thermistor that regulates it's output. If I wanted to have it run full out all the time would I remove the thermistor and put nothing in it's place (total resistance) or put a simple wire in it's place (total conduction)?

i think you just want to snip it off, but if off, so snip it and see what happens. If it speeds up good! if it stops, you need to twist them together.

You need to tie them together. Had a couple like that. I just cut off the thermistor, but that left a lot of wire...so I'd probably cut off most of the wire now. Now I'll go ramble somewhere else, k?
