I have the microsoft optical trackball mouse (link:http://www.microsoft.com/products/info/product.aspx?view=22&pcid=10426173-9aba-45eb-b7ce-af9ef9724d3d&type=ovr)
I really want to open it, make some holes and add a fan and leds. The problem is that I can not find a way to get into the mouse. I really don't want to crack it so exessive force is not going to be used.
Does anyone know a way to get into this bad-boy?

what does the bottom look like? all the mice i have had have a screw or 3 that you remove. sometimes they are under stickers or under the mouse feet.

The bottom is just flat, except for rubber things on it to keep it from moving, but those are pretty well stuck on.

the screws should be under those rubber things

Nope, no sticker. I am going to try and get under the rubber pads, hope you are right.

I did it!
I am now planning my lazer pointer/fan mod.
Thanks for the help!

if you have a blow dryer handy, try heating up the pads first, they might come off easier.
