View Full Version : problems with win2k sp2 and ez creator 4?WTF I thought 5 gave problems!

Well the title says it all I was helping a friend out and installed ez 4 and direct CD and BSOD city!!! I booted to safe mood and uninstalled and back to super stable. I was under the impression that ez 5 was the one with the 2000 issues. does ne1 know what is going on? patches?

I do believe there are some patches/updates available but not sure if they are for 4.X or not. I have 5.0 and have never had any problems using it. It was necessary for me to download a patch from Roxio's site, however.

Don't know if DirectCD is a problem or not as I've never even used that part of the package.

Check out Roxio's download section and see if there is mention of a Win2K patch there.

Dunno, I ran 4 machines on 2k with EZ 4.0 and no problems, updated them all to 5.0 and still no poblems. All 4 machines have Sp2, and are AMD systems with 2 Abits, 1 Epox and 1 Iwill MB. Apparently hes got some issues, but I wouldnt directly blame the OS or the EZCD. Maybe something corrupted somewheres. Good luck.

Maybe try downloading ASPICHK (sp) from Adaptec to verify the installation of his files.

Thanks guys I downloaded the 4.02 to 4.05 patch and it seems to have fixed it for now. I don't like ez that much and prefer power software like xing/fireburner/cdrwin but my friend is a complete tool and I have like six copies of the software so I gave him one and then BSOD I think the patch has fixed all and thanks for responding.
