I just went into my case today to test my new thermalright sk-6 to make sure I could a working fan and all. I unplugged my old fan and just plug in my sk-6. the fan on top worked fine and i was happy. I plugged my old fan back in and switched on the computer to make sure it was working okay. that's when I noticed it. My fan let out on me. I thought to my self oh sh*t. I wonder how long this has been going on. I am lucky I didn't fry my cpu. I think the only thing that saved it was my 80mm right above it. So I'm on my parents computer right now. So what are some good socket 7 fans. I have the sk-6 but I feel that would be a waste for 500 mghz machine that is no even overclocked. come to think of it I don't even know if it would fit. I don't know the size differance between a socket 7 and socket A. So any suggestions on a socket 7 fan, would be great thanks

Generally speaking most Socket A HSF should fit a socket 7 system...Get something which performs well, but is not too expensive, (good all aluminium HSF) like Global Win Fop 32, Thermaltake Volcano etc...
