So my friend brought his 3000+ winchester over and you can look @ my sig for my rig info. Well we popped it in and currently its maxing out @ 463/1.15.. Is that good or bad, im not too sure and when I took his cpu to 2.25GHz i got 23000 in 3DMark 01se.. This seems low or am I expecting too much? :-D I need some info and I hear people talking about tweaks you can do to get higher scores in the memory settings. If anyone knows anything of the sort please tell!! :] Thanks.

** I also took off the stock hsf on the 6800 and man they have some crappy thick white stuff on the ram it was disgusting so I replaced it with as5 but he didnt bring his cpu back and I also applied it to the core, man that thing looks so sexy it has a big core and a smaller rectangular 2nd core, I never saw that before :-D

Hmm, my Ultra cant even do 440MHz stable so I think 463MHz are pretty decent. But I will try some other thermal paste, havent checked that yet. And/or the NV Silencer, maybe that will improve my max clocks a little bit.

Dont worry about the 3DMark01 score, NVidia 6x00 cards should be benched with 03 and 05 only.

your core speeds are decent, but that memory speeds looks like you have 2.0ns ram on there.

my ultra does 1250 24/7 and benches at 1320.

BOOO :[ how can i find out if i have 2.0NS !! You guys gotta tell me these things ahead of time before i order!!

Is it written on the actual ram chips?

Yeah, remove the heatspreader and thermal pads and examine the chips. They will likely be marked as either Samsung GC20 or GC16 (2.0 / 1.6). It sounds like you have the GC20 chips. I've been fortunate, both the 6600GT and 6800GTO I have with GC20 chips reach >1230MHz no problem. (with upgraded cooling of course).
While you are at it, get some Arctic Ceramique and apply it to each RAM chip before putting the heatsink back on. That'll help a bit at least.
Nice core clocks however - you just need more memory bandwidth to keep up!

I've been hearing rumors fo how AS5 does about nothing after a few weeks is this true, if so Im gonna get the zalman cooler + AS ceramique.. :o

WAY too high. Most likely at the very best you are talking about *possibly* 470. 500 is for water-cooling, voltmoded on peltiers. Not aircooling ;)

Alright , thanks for the heads up :].
