I have bought an amd k7 thunderbird cpu and have an asus a7v1333-c motherboard, but i do not know how to set up my cpu to the right settings in the bios. i can set the cpu clock multiplier up to 12.5 and the cpu frequency, but i do not know what i should set it at. can someone plaes help me

P.S i am using 256mb of pc 133 ram which is set to 133 in the bios

What is the rated speed of the chip??? and what FSB is it supposed to run at? the way you find the correct multiplier is to divide the rated speed by the FSB.... E.G. : 1400mhz chip/100mhz FSB = multiplyer X14.
most of the guys here dont do that though!!! :p
i would give u an example of a 133 FSB chip but i only just got up and my brain hasnt quite kicked in yet

Please tell us what speed your Chip has..
You should find the speed on the core, if you donīt know it..

ok, that helps indeed!
You have a 1400 Mhz CPU, for default values you should set it to 10.5x133 Mhz..and 1.75 Vcore.
That should do the trick
