Heh, can't get that far with my Duron 950. Right now it's at 105 FSB and 11 x but that's as far as it can go. Right now I'm wondering if this is faster or slower then my maxed out 110 FSB and 10.5 x.

107 FSB * 11 gives me an error when I go into windows
never tried 109

110 freezes when I launch windows

youve probably hit the limit of your duron
that seems to be the sorta level that they are getting up to
personally my 800 tops out at about 975

but try and max out the voltage and see
if not, its hit its limit

No can do , my ASUS A7V-E boad doesn't do Voltage...maybe in a few months when I'm bored I'll get someone to cute he L7 bridges and I'll do the pencil trick from there

To max out the voltage by connecting the bridges you won't need to cut anything. Just connect all 5 of the bridges, unless you want less than max voltage. Then you may need to do a little surgery.
The chart shows which bridges need to be connected for the voltage mod-- http://www.ocinside.de/index_e.html?/html/workshop/socketa/socketa_resistors.html

How risky is it to max out your voltages?

It's not risky at all if you pay attn to your temps. I got to 1150mHZ out of my Duron 950 with everything stock. You should be able to get alot more if you increase the voltae and watch your temps.

What type of cooling did you use? I dunno if my TT Volcano 6CU+ is enough though. I put it at 1150 Mhz Crashed after maybe 20 minutes of SETI, and keeps on giving me errors (not the heat though the heat was steady at 35)

If I increase the voltage to max, is my cooling nuff?

Umm, I would proceed with a bit of caution when Modifying a Mobo to produce more Voltage you have the chance of frying the board and chip. I have seen alot have it work no problems then I have seen post about chips getting fried. Just wanted to share a word of caution.

Because of the heat?

So if I connect the L7 bridges and my Vcore is set to 1.75 I'll get 1.85... and if its set to 1.85 I'll get 1.95? Is this the way it works?

I think you'll just get 1.85 unless you do a voltage mod on the MB itself

K, I did the pencil trick again (praise the guy that invented that trick)

Core is at 1.85 volts. It did raise my temps a considerable amount : 6 degrees on full load. But I think 41 degrees on full load is still pretty nice (whoa, my Volcano 6CU+ is amzing)

This allowed me to not only go from 1.1 gig stable to a 1.15 gig stable, but right now I'm running at 1.17. I had some explorer problems the first time I did this speed, but right now everything is stable. Ran Sandraa through 30 loops of CPU and CPU Media test with no problems. Right now I'm doing SETI,a nd I'll leave it on overnight prolly to see what happens.

1.199 gigs and 1.21 gigs gave me errors and didn't let me get into windows (I'll upgrade my mem from 128 meg to prolly about 300 mb ram in a few weeks, and see if that'll let me go a bit farther)

Was really tempted by hitting that 1.2 gig mark.

Has anybody done pass 1.2 gigs with a 950 Duron? I've seen some amazing ones where someone took a 900 Duron to 1.3 giigs, but I have no idea if that is possible. (Must be my chips capabilities)
