I just bought a microsoft intellimouse explorer 4.0. i like the way it works, except for when im gaming. the mouse seems to just cut out, sometimes for about 10 seconds, and others for around 2 or 3....this is a big problem when your in a fire fight though. it will do this cutting out crap every...hmmm ill say 1 to 2 minutes. the optical light turns off when it does this....
anyone out there experience this too?
anyone got any advice? or just take it back and get another?
thanks
mike
could be a bad mouse, could be driver problems (have you updated them?), could be motherboard or powersupply issues as well. i would try updating the drivers, and if you havent had problems with other usb devices, then i would return the mouse and see if a new one works better

yes, i updated my drivers......my wireless internet works out of the usb just fine. this mouse can be plugged into both the usb and the mouse ports, and in both places it doesnt seem to work right. i am really hoping its just the mouse and not my power supply thanks zip

try another one in its place if possibel if it doesn't cut out then i would say you got a bad mous and return it and get a nother one . if the light goes out you are not geting power for some reason .

yes i am using wireless usb and the mouse at the same time...i tried another optical mouse yesterday and it worked, so im guessing that it was just that mouse....hopefully :/
yeah, thats my guess. all it would take was one poor solder joint for it to act funny like that.

you may be getting rf interference also . your wireless newtork or something between your mouse reciver and mouse .
