yes but usually, if the board is set to SPD, it will lower the memory frequency of the 3200 down to 2700.

Or on a rare occasion if you cpu uses a higher FSB it MAYtry and overclock that pc 2700, but most stickscan handle 3200 speeds and that happens few and far between.
