Im woundering I was looking on the sti cy of collections xls sheet, and it looks like 6800GTs don't really OC at all. Im woundering if its even worth it to watercool them. It looked like the best any one got was like 1250 memory, thats not a lot since stock is 1100. Im Just woundering if its worth it, and the cores were like 450 from 300, which is a lot, but nothign like my 5800
300/500 stock
550/1000 OC
I have near a 100% OC; compared to the 10% oc I've seen in the 6800GTs.
What do you guys think?

Stock memory on 6800 GTs is 1000, and stock core is 350. By themselves, I got one card to 435 core and the other to 410 core, in SLI I can only get about 400.
The thing to remember, is the 6800 GTs have a lot more pipelines than your 5800, so overclocking 5 MHz does a lot more, because more pipes are being overclocked. That's also the reason why they can't get much higher, because of the more pipelines, your chances increase of getting artifacts at higher speeds. If you cut half the pipelines, I'm sure it could overclock much much higher... but you'd still be losing performance.

So in SLI you cant go as fast as the slowest part? If you got 410 out of the one, why not SLI at 410?

Actually PCI-e 6800gts clock almost as well or better than their ultra counterparts becuase the get just about as much power. Also remember that the highest clocks ever achieved in SLI are 604 core, and that was on LN2 and that isn't even a 100% overclock. Nvidia 6800 series card really don't need to overclock as high as other types of cards becuase they are more effiecent than most.
