I am currently using a SB Live! card with a pair of Labtec desktop speakers. A friend recently gave me a Harman Kardon subwoofer and I want to add it to my system making it a 2.1 setup. The sub has two wires coming out of it with green and black leads and on the speaker itself it has left and right satellite speaker inputs. I plugged my speakers into these inputs but I'm not sure where the 2 sub leads go to on my soundcard.

is sb live is a 5.1 card the sub should have it's own output on the card

if not, you can always get a splitter to send signal to sub and signal to sats

There is one yellow input at the end of the sound card but the wire coming out of the sub is split into 2 leads, green and black.

do the 2 leads have the headphone type plugs on them? or bare wires? the sound card should have an outputthat has the center channel and the sub channel in the same plug, one is on the conenctor that would be left (in a normal headphone kinda situation) and the other would be the right. if the sub has bare wires you would need to put a plug on it and have it on the appropriate contacts. this is assuming that the sub has an amp built in it. if it dont you'd need to get one into the loop.
