Try the Win2K recovery console.....Reboot the machine and hold down the F8 key. You will get the usual menu choices about safe mode etc....select "last know good condition". This should undo any evil registery problems.

Why not use the store feature in ME? Start/programs/accessories/restore. Pick a date a few days old and have ME restore your system like it was before.

Have you tried reinstalling Windows?

I guest it would be mean to say restore your data from your backups!! I think that you are in for a reinstal....Everybody gets burned before they learn to make backups/images.

you might want to try using a bootable 3.5 to get you to the dos prompt...then you can look at any of the files you have to see what is changed...you know...the edit command...another thing is see if you can boot to cdrom with win in cd and see if that will work...it should give you options to instal more win options or uninstall try uninstalling this route then reinstalling them again...it beats format...when you get to your blank screen can you run any auto load cd's??? if so you can do the norton utility thing...this will definately solve that prob...
