I'm on an ASUS A7V-E mobo and running a TT Volcano 6CU+ which is basically a delta clone. 0.37 AMP current. And it's connected to my CPU fan on the mobo. (I never got the adapter with this fan :( )
Anyways, will my mobo withstand this current?
Maybe, maybe not. I'd recommend getting an adapter and running the high amperage Delta off a 4 pin connector. I've heard of those motherboard fan headers burning out if the fan draws to much power. Better to be safe than sorry.

I burned out my fan header.
Just wanted to post one more "better safe than sorry" recommendation. :)
I think I shorted out my fan connector on my motherboard. I put a 60 mm delta on it. The delta worked, but then I put my other fan back on and then the delta nor the other fan would work:(

This (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?threadid=38058) thread has an alternative to buying an adapter...one that leaves you with the ability to monitor your fan's RPMs. :)
where can I get one of these adapters?

You could try www.sidewindercomputers.com as they have some good cooling stuff...but I'm not positive that they have them. Other cooling places would be another good idea to check. Don't know any others off of the top of my head, though.

:D It may be alright for awhile but sooner or later it will short out the header. If you don't caught it it will most definately fry you chip.My advice seeing that this happened to me and almost fried my bird,I would fix it before hand.....................
