I voted for Sub-Teams. Theres really not too many staff, unless you count seniors. Thatd be like Wedo and Nik etc versus all of us (and itd probably take that many too :) ) But if we do, I'd like to donate my ppd to a subteam manually as I dont have access to the few borgs I have left out there.

I have a few thoughts on this:

1.) Subteams

Subteams are already kinda competing in the stats I guess. They pretty much have always been. Of course if it was made like an official competition and all things would heat up. I am already throwing everything I got into FTWL, so a competition wouldn't really make someone like me up production.

2.) Staff competition

Staff competition sounds good, however, we greatly outnumber the staff and that would be slightly unfair. They would need Senior Member's to be included for it to be fair. Then again...they could just promote our top producers to senior and we would lose. :eek: :p

3.) Countries

Countries sounds cool, but for example, I see allot more members from the USA or the UK that fold than members from other smaller countries in remote places of the world. There are probably as many countries in existence as there are members of our folding team. Well, maybe not, but you get the idea.

4.) Sockets

I like the socket idea because the power of fanboys is a strong one. People using different platforms and are really for what they are using will throw everything they have at it to win sometimes. It also would be a cool little competition I think.

5.) OCAU subteam vs. OC subteam

I kinda like this idea as well as it is more of a competition between the two sites vs. a competiton against ourselves. If you are having some sort of competition it is more fun and interesting on a national level than just between two neighborhoods in no****ville with a population of 150 people, right?

One downside to sockets, is that people with farms, or borgs, dont really fall into one category. Unless they just wanted to fold for thier favorite type.

Well the way that Chrisptoh and I have it setup, no one loses any of their own points.

Basically we compound the team points from the individual users. Lot more work on our end, mainly his, but its to keep you guys happy.

I know Nik was down for it last time I asked him. Im just waiting for the scripts to get finished up. If you guys don't mind, I can get the race up and going for the 1st of the month, I think, provided all the coding is done.

Its going to be draft style, with 2 captians, maybe 3 or 4 if there are enough people. I already have the 2 captians, so you guys tell me what you want.

With nik and Wedo, yes. BUT, i'm all for seeing you put your WUs where your mouth is :D. BTW, we blues can't ban you, but the greens sure can and we have "influence" with them :D

I'm happy with whatever. The code I've got now is definitely useable. You can see what it's like here (http://mksig.no-ip.org:8080/index.pl), although it's not running a real contest at the moment. (It works like the real one will, but it's just been running to give me a chance to work out bugs.) I might add more features eventually, but I like how it is now (other than the undecoratedness) and I'm not going to have a whole lot of time to do more than bugfixing.
