well over the time i had to replace my ENTIRE COMPUTER....(almost) i made it into a custom...i replaced my mobo witha a7a266 mobo a huge ass case with six slots on it new thunderbird fan and so on... but when i finally got my computer runnin without freezes my cpu core is runnin at 59-60c!!! if i get my room freezing i can only get it as low as 45c.... do i need the cpu arctic silver 2 compound and the alpha pep66 heat sink? or should i just leave it as it is?...i am envious of my friend who runs his p3 at 34 temp TOPS! should i go ahead and get these items along with another case fan to cool the living **** out of it so i can try and over clock my ****ty 850 duron? my asus mobo has a nice setup to help you with overclocking..any suggestions? im a newbie so some expert help would be appericated! THANX! :D
oh and dont mind the pic i added (if it works..) i never got these options on a message board before! :eek:

Well, you should definately get something better than your OEM hsf if you plan on overclocking. The hsf that you get would depend upon just how much noise you wanted. I think that for a Duron 850 a WBK-38 would be good, and you could always get a beefy 80mm fan for that to help with the noise. You should definately try some ASII on that, too. Get rid of that nasty thermal pad stuff that's probably on there. Case cooling wouldn't hurt, either.
