One day at school, I got mighty bored and got the urge to overclock one of the school library computers. There are all IBM ThinkCentres with Celeron D 330. Apparently the clock generator ICS952618 works with this. When the ClockGen reads it says the default CPU Clock is 1500 MHz, once I slide the divider, it automatically goes to 2000 MHZ. I click Set Values, open CPU-Z 1.28 and voila!!! From 2.66 GHz to an impressive 3.3 GHz no voltage upping!

Haven't gotten around to benching in front of my librarian, setting the clockspeed and saving the validator file was hard enough.

BTW, the IBM has a Intel D865GKD board. Funny I can oc so much w/o upping voltage.

Did you run a benchmark to prove that this actually worked?

I only used the PCizard 05 thing from cpuid. The FPU measurement (top number) rose from 3584.6(2.66 GHz) to 4757.3(3.33 GHz) M/Flops per second. PCMark04 I have not got to yet (I'm afraid of the video part).

Oh yeah, and check this out too:
GO TO http://valid.x86-secret.com/ and search CPU-Z ID # 14677 <- MAX OC STABLE

You gotta wonder how many cool things have been done and later described beginning with, "One day I got really bored and......" ;)

I'd love to know what the temp is on it... :)
