i cant for the life of me figure out what you made. is it the nylon washers? and make sure your waterblock isnt hitting the camblock.

is it just me or does it look like that block is mounted upsidedown ? It looks like the washers will keep the block from seating firmly against the cpu and the exit on that block is supposed to be on the top left corner and the inlet in the middle of the block ? Unless I am mistaken

The picture is upside down.
If you look you can see the RAM at the bottom of the picture.

I'm confused also.
What exactly did you make?
If it was adding the nylon spacers, how does raising the block off the board result in it clamping down on the chip?
I'm sure I'm missing something...maybe more coffee will help.

Well I was looking for this for some ideas for people who are removing the IHS and preventing crushing the core.
Maybe I ought to answer clocker2,, "Well I just got a DTR and my waterblock didn't fit too snug on the chip". I mean't with the retainer. Not the spacers. The spacers are there to prevent damage to the cpu but getting a nice, tight fit on the chip.
