Should My family spend the extra money and upgrade dsl?

Well I am sure I posted this other places, but my aunt is going to moving in with me soon, and that means 4 people on one dsl line. We have verison phone service and earthlink as our isp. I get average 80k-120k downloading when i am the only one on the network and 50-70k when all the other users are on. Would it be worth upgrading our service so we have more bandwidth or is it even needed? I thought it was a good idea, because my aunt and dad both paid $50 a month for dsl now if they combine their payments that like $100 for dsl, or less. I hope they like my idea.

I don't think any companies offer more than 1.5mbps down. but if there was, then you would notice a diffrence (when downloading)

Verizons typical service is 128/768, its like $10 more for 1.5mb, and you arent going to get any faster than that with DSL. So u just need to find out what plan you're on now, if 768, then its definitely a good idea to upgrade.
