hello. i am new to these boards.
i checked the search function, but i could not find a suitable thread to post this in.
i have joined to ask a question and look for a solution to my problem: i purchased a Sapphire Radeon 9600 SE 128DDR some time ago, only recently have i gained the knowledge, expertise and equipment to properly overclock. however, i am having difficulties. i cannot change the clock controls. they reset whenever the computer is restarted, or a 3d application is run.i believe this is inbuilt so the makers couldent simply overclock up to a 9600 and sell them cheap. read it somewhere, cant remember where. the whole idea was to overclock it for that specific purpose. as a side effect, it also resets my gamma/colour controls to their defaults. as im sure your aware, this is most unpleasant. if anyone has encountered this problem before, knows of a solution, or just has a comment, please lend a hand. thank you.
[edit] my apologies, i forgot some basic information.
my current drivers are DNA-ATI v3.8.5.3 SLE, using ATI tool to overclock.
if other system spec's are needed, id be happy to provide.
