I want to overclock my old comp more than 450... What will happen to it if I have good cooling and up the Vcore to 3.0>?
What steppings considered to be the best? And what do they mean?

3 V should be ok, if you slap a good socket A HSF on it..
But even with this I doubt that youŽll get much over 500..
Good luck!

DonŽt know about K6 III steppings:(

I think 3V on the core might be a bit high.... I'd inch it up and see how fast you can get that at 2.5-2.8V. Sometimes you see diminishing returns when voltage goes above a certain point. And you're gonna need a dang good HSF for that kind of voltage - probably a good socket A one such as a Thermalright SK6 or a PEP66.

I couldn't get the computer to work at 475 with 2.7/2.8/2.9/3.0 Vcores... All it does is get to the point when windows should load and displays BSOD!!!
I got a Socket A cooler on it the same as on my T-bird though its 60x60mm, T-Birds is 60x78mm but with 2.7Vcore it looks to be in the high 30's or low 40's underfull load...

I thought this K6-III was a pretty big piece of crap but I didn't imagine that it would be so damn bad for F@H!!!
When my new comp finishes 8-9 frames this one finishes only 1!!!  ARGH!!! ARGH!!! ARGH!!!

And I though I would have two rigs to F@H... That sux! :o

*Edit*: LOL!!! Only 6 smilies allowed in each post and that includes the sig...
