Will AMD support DDR2 in with their new cores? I don't know whether I should save up for memory or just put mine in, if I get a new AMD rig.

AMD is not going to have support for DDR2 untill they switch sockets to M2 sometime in 2006. Even then it's not really clear what they are going to switch to. They might skip over DDRII and go to DDRIII or they might just switch over to XDR.

The new dual core cpu coming out waely next year (I believe) will reportedly have a new socket and DDR2 memory. I would expect it to be high end and lots of bucks, but I really don't know that for sure. There is a dual core coming out latewr this year which will be a 939 socket amd DDR1.
