have you tried resetting the card?
try running the ram in single channel

ill give that a shot.

Should I have my card in the blue or black pci-e slot?

well ur board is fine then at least. try just 1 ram stick, put the video card in the top slot, reset the cmos with the power switch on ur psu off, and give it another try.

Typically when it powers on and there's no beep, something isn't plugged in all the way\correctly. (that's if you get beeps after putting something in wrong on purpose). So you'll probably want to replug in everything that connects to the motherboard. If your gcard was dead, it would give a beep for that too so ur gear is most likely ok, just some connection somewhere.

plugged it into the top one, nothing happend :(
reset cmos still nothing...argh :p

unplug everything except the bare essentials: ram and vid card, and see if it'll post.

still no luck, and getting the "system failed memory test" msg again

is the g.skill not compatible with the asus board? would that even prevent the monitor from showing anything?

I had a similar problem where everything turned on but the monitor was blank. I took it into the shop and my friend showed me something left out in the manual for the mobo. Next to the slot where the powersource plugs in to the motherboard, there is a small 12v lead that plugs in as well. the lead goes from the powersource and looks different from all of the molex (big 4 pin connectors) that come off of the power supply. It is square and if you look in your mobo documentation where it shows the other power slots, it should be in there. When my buddy plugged that in, my comp fired right up and worked fine after that.

the first thing to initialize is the graphics card, but if there is an error, than you won't even get a chance for it to pop up the video bios screen because that comes after it posts. What are the official specs on ur ram, the default bios settings may not be compatible with ur ram (default of cas2.5, ram only runs at cas3)

are you talking about the "EZ Plug"? got that all hooked up

yeah, that's kind of a hard thing to miss. And you've tried booting with just the vid card, ram, and cpu in right. nothing else in the pci slots, no hard drives or cd drives connected right? If so, take out the ram and the vid card and put them back in again. If you're getting the memory error message, you have ur ram in the wrong slots. consult ur manual to make sure you're putting them in the right ones. if it still does it, try with only one stick and again make sure it's in the right one. Also, unplug all ur front panel headers except the power on one just incase something is backwards.

i've been using just one stick, and tried it in every slot :( front panel headers? those the wires from the case to the mobo?

have you been sure to move the cmos reset jumper to the right place? i know that some boards come with it on the reset pins so it doesnt drain power while in storage / shipping. I'vr had a wonderful time troubleshooting a comp after we just replaced the board in it to realise i forgot to switch that jumper. so give that a look and make sure its on the "normal" position and not the reset one.

What's it say in your mobo manual about the warning?
That might lead you to something.

it says:

*Install supported DDR DIMMs into the memory sockets.

*Check if the DIMMs on the DIMM sockets are properlly installed.

*Make sure the DIMMs are not defective.

Its not defective it worked in my last system, if put them in every slot soo i dunno :(

I looked up some FAQ on the ASUS site and found this:

Due to hardware limitations, you must plug the memory on DIMM_B1 or DIMM_B2 if using just one stick of memory.

When I do that I do not get any beeps or error messages but the screen still remains blank

try reseating the processor, it's the last thing before you have to try different components.

ooh... and check for bent pins while you're at it.
