x800 xt6 or x850 pro?whats better?

im not going to buy one but im curiouse what of the 2 is better.... i belive the x800 xt is better stock but if u softmod and unlock pipes on x850 pro u get better performormance once oc.?

herron: it should, but don't rely on softmods, they don't work 100%. Especially I heard the newer cards are laser-cut which means you can't unlock them at all.

The X850 Pro video cards do not have unlockable pipelines unfortunately.

The X800 XT, with 16 pipelines vs. the X850 Pro's 12, is the better video card for both overclocking, and for stock performance.

The X800xt is a better card than just about anything in the x850 series becuase of the tighter ram timings that will allow you to run faster clock for clock.
