After 122usd, another 22 cdn customs, 4 months later, i receive my video card, DOA, sigh.. sent it back, costing 12 cdn to ship back, and another 5 usd for RMA fee, they replace the video card and send another one, lookin totally different, different heatsync and everything lol, great...
after being told this was an ATI product, not a 3rd party ati product, and 2 different types of ati 3rd party video cards, and careful research that all ATI Radeon 9600xt 256mb video cards run stock 500/300(600) gpu/mem clock speeds, now i haven't quite narrowed it down to which 3rd party manufacturer produces this video card that i have in my system, BUT i can tell you its runnin at 400/183, now running stock fan and heatsync on this little video card beast of mine, i ran ATItool's find max core, and when it reaches 452, i get a VPU error, says the driver has failed to contact the video card etc.., had to restart, did a find max mem, reached 243, my screen goes staticy, had to reboot, runnin catalyst 5.4 atm, i've tried 4.7 and omega's 5.2 drivers, radlinker instead of ATItool, overclocking the GPU to 425/200 without any problems, unfortunetally this card doesn't have an external 4 pin power connection, only running off the AGP slot
its my first time on the site, there were so many threads i want to read, but i haven't quite had the chance to read them i'm rather anxious to figure out what i should do with this video card, i've contacted the people i bought it from to find out where they bought it from so i can find out who manufacturers this video card and the exact detailed specifications for it
i also have an Arctic cooling VGA silencer rev.3 that fits most 9200-9800 etc.. but for some reason the screwholes are the same as a nvidia board, so now i have to find a VGA cooler that cools an NVidia card, but will fit on my ATI card lol, rediculous if u ask me, my VGA cooler fits on my buddies 9800 pro video card and my old 9200se video card
neways guys, any suggestions on what i should do?
my 3dmark03 score was 2700 and oc'd was 2500 with my NON-3rd party ATI radeon 7500 64mb i scored 2900, with my powercolor 9200se 128mb card i scored 3800
