Hmmm...Nvidia came out with the Geforce and not long after they came out with the Quadro. Someone figured out that the Quadro was really just a Geforce with a few more volts and different drivers. They hacked a Geforce into a Quadro. Perhaps the ole Geforce III could become a Ti.

read the review at tomshardware the difference between gf3 and ti is the same as the diff between a gf2 pro and an ultra, it just aint worth the money......

True.... but that person still has to eat their hat!:D Maybe the only reason I don't care about the Titanium line of GeForce3's. I just want to see him put a little salt and pepper on that old hat and take a bite.
I'm getting the GF3 Ti200 as soon as the price drop to $150.00
Too those who bought the Geforce3 for $400, hahahahaaaa suckerzzz

The GeForce3 is in no way obsolete. The titanium is just a beefed up GeForce3, running at 240/500 default. Sure its faster, but is the cost justified?
I bought my GeForce3 for £375 (Prolly somewhere near $550) and I dont regret it for one moment. The card is trully worth that much as there was NOTHING better at the time i purchased it. Even now, my rig is monsterously fast in games so I am laughing.
Anyway, everyone knows that you will ALWAYS pay the premium for the best on the market. This is because for 2-3 months that part you have bought for your pc will be unmatched for speed/quality.
If I was sensible and just waited months for the price to drop, I would never see an excellent fps in new games because...
As technology develops, so do the application requirements. Meaning, only mid-range hardware will always give you mid-range performance in modern applications/games.
I just might upgrade from my 8mb stb vid card.

Name one game that a GF2 MX can't play great with? Maybe when Doom3 and Unreal2 comes out, a GF3 is justifiable. But that's maybe 6 months away. There's not a game out that even fully utilized the TL engine of the Geforce1

the Ti200 seems to be a very good deal is the price range really that low at 150 US.

According to nVidia, the retail price of the initial release is $199 US. I'm sure at the initial release, street prices are going to be lower then $199. However, in a couple of weeks to a month, street prices may dip to the $150 range.

What is the difference between the Geforce3 Titanium Ti200 and Ti500?? Is it worth it, would I see that much of a difference on my machine from what I have now; playing mostly games like Max Payne, and Return to Wolfenstein(GOD BLESS IT)??
