im no electronics but i think o got this. if i got a 300w psu, and i put a 150w pelt on it, i now have a 150w on my psu. thats is efffffffed up.

I highly suggest if your going to use a 300 watt PSU with a 150 watt TEC you buy yourself a seperate PSU for that TEC
Most 300 watt PSU's are rated at 10-12 Amps and if you attempt to power up that TEC with all your other equiptment you simply wont be able to do so with a 150 watt TEC

yea, of course, i was just tring to find out if i could get away whith one of the micro atx psu so to take up less space.

whoa, whoa, whoa...
if you have a 150w peltier, it is going to use 12.5Amps on the +12v line on the powersupply.
To run that peltier, you will need either a very high-end enermax psu, or a separate DC psu.
Also you will need to run dual power supplies.
1 for mb, hd, cdrom, 1 for peltier, then you have to think about getting rid of the peltier heat.

Ok, what you need is a PSU that has a 24V rail, as that is typically what those 150s run off of. You might be able to get away with something that has a 15v rail...depends on the TEC, really. It should tell you what the Vmax is.
