With the soon release of a 1.2GHz Celeron2 (12x100) AMD has been presured to up the MHz in the value department. So today, they released the 1.1GHz Duron processor.
We have already seen the possibilities with the morgan core, most people have hit 1.33GHz with there 1GHz duron chips, very good!
The Celeron2 core is getting old and will need to be replaced soon with a 1.3GHz being the last of the core! Why 1.3GHz? its because they wanted to get it close to the copper-t core which will stop at 1400 or 1466 if Intel decides to be generous. When the copper-t Pentium3 is dropped, Intel will simply rename the processor to the Celeron processor (Celeron3) which gets SSE2.
But until then, Celeron2 falls behind the morgan processor.
