View Full Version : Asus V7100 64mg mx400 or Radeon64DDR?6
I have got both these cards and right now in my computer I use for my benchmarking I have the mx400 in and I score 6629 on 3dmark2000.Will installing my Radeon improve my performance enough to go through the hassle of swapping them out?If it is alot better for 3d and games I will certainly do it but if it will only have a slight increase in performance I'd ratther just keep it the way it is.Oh, the comp. I have my Radeon in now has my DVD drive in it so I guess if I swap it then I would also want to install my DVD ,right?

I would say the Radeeon will perform better in 3d gaming. 3dmark score with your MX400 cause 3dmark 2000 score is decent but 3dmark 2001 (not 2000) is mostly geared towards nvidia based chipset.
Those of us with the Radeon 64 DDR vivo like me, seem to get a lower score than a similar Geforce2 card and similar setup.
I have a T Bird 1.2 pc266 w 2x256 crucial pc2100 ddr on a MSI K7T266 Pro Raid mobo, and in 3 dmark 2001(not 2000) with all the newest drivers and everything at default I scored 3369 which isn't the greatest but it does not really matter.
3D mark 2001 is not the real world as far as I am concerned, it is more for bragging rights cause my card produces equal to more framerate at 1024x768 32 bit colour compared with a Geforce 2 GTS Pro card.
The bottom line is the Radeon is better than the MX 400 and produces better 2d video and 3d gaming performance than the MX card. Give em a swap test the Radeon out and you be the judge.
