Hey, I have a T-Bird 1000Mhz (100@10x@1.8v) and i'v only got it to run at 100@11x@1.9v and 100@11.5x@1.9v, but if i set it a 12x or 12.5x the monitor wont even come on, what i was really trying to get to is that it wont boot at 133FSB and i was wondeing if that was even a posibility.

Welcome to the forums

What is the brand+model of your motherboard, what is your CPUs steppings? What RAM do you use? What power supply?

The best thing is to put ur specs in ur sig, like I do for example...

First of all, Welcome to the forums.

There is a well-documented issue with the ASUS A7V, as well as all other first generation socket A motherboards. The VIA KT133 chipset will generally be limited to a FSB in the range of 107 / 110MHz. When AMD released the 266FSB "C" CPU's, VIA reworked the chipset to support the FSB at 133MHz and beyond, this chipset is known as the KT133A, and has been reported to reach 150MHz+. Most people reach the 140MHz range at which point peripherals, the video card and the NIC in particular, begin causing problems.

As far as the 12X multiplier, you may have reached the limit of your chip.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck!

You should do something about your temps, they are a bit on the high side. What HS are u using, do u use thermal paste???

Try lowering the multiplier...

I had the same problem booting at 133 before... just cant do it... then I tried lowering my multiplier, and walahhhh.... was able to boot at 133MHz FSb... right now, I'm Running @7.5x137.... but I have been able to boot at 6.5x158 and 7x147 but not at a higher multiplier... I think the highest oc that my chip can handle is 1031Mhz... and if I try a combination exceeding that, my system wont boot.... ( if doing a cold-boot )... sign of a bad power supply...:D :D :D

Well, to start with I know i have another elchepo hs, i'm actually looking into making my own liquid cooling system, has anyone seen the article on tomshardware (http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/01q2/010528/)? but as long as I dont tost my proc for the mean time, I should be ok, I Hope. Oh and about that 266FSB thing, i had the Multiplier an that thing at 5x and I think Frank is right about my KT133 chipset, how I wish I had the KT133a chipset:(
