We need more recruiting.

I am still thinking of asking permission to borg my entire former-school network. (200x2.4C)

Might just go work on that next week. Write a nice letter and pay some diplomatical visits.

i'm thinking about possibly trying to borg my unit... we have like at least 500 3.0 ghz HPs... but if I do, I need to plan this out perfectly... and on top of that, it wouldn't be for a while anyway...

Personally, I have much more respect for the folders here and at OCAU because of threads like this (http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=895096&page=2&pp=20). Excerpts;

20... there are ways of finding out, but i would rather not share... and i would appreciate it if those who know dont share, as i do like my job and my borges.

my net admins know, but its more of a "unspoken of" thing...

and i had the right friends in the right places.

thankfully WUS, anti-virus, and system wide backups make it so that all the machines are on 24/7...

only thing was in one lab the added stress of F@H on the CPU's started making breakers trip since the room was not designed for computers... so they are spending like $50k on retrofitting the room with power and ethernet... hehe

we are also getting like three new labs, one of which has like 50 computers(!!!)

well i dont tell them its for F H the breakers trip and i go *shrug* told you that room wouldent take 30 computers rolleyes

In my opinion, that just does not go along with the philosophy of the project. Sorry.

Well, I am trying for more borgs. About 500 P4's I could potentially borg, however that is unlikely, I am just shooting for some of them, like 100-200. Maybe I need to whip out that Medical News article about Folding. That may do the trick. :-/

I also am trying to push the FMP quite hard, got a front page article up about it in need of new mentors. Unfortunatly the site is having some issues and I cannot activate any new accounts, but it should be fixed by today.

There is also a new branch dedicated to recruiting other forums that do not know of FAH yet. Folding is primary, Folding for us is secondary. Better folding for someone like [H] than not at all. Also recruiting other teams that are smaller, to work for us as a subteam if they please, unlikely but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

600 more cpu's yet we really aren't losing that much ground. LOL

That's because we have so much more power per CPU. Closing the gap in numbers would be nice tho, i made a start with it.

OCAU will see that recruiting isn't helping and they'll eventually give up.

ocau and H have a amassed a folding ARMY. I never thought that OCAU would have pulled it out of their ass they way they have. I don't see either team slowing down in the next 3 months. H is averaging 10 new users A DAY. OCAU is at 15. Those teams will be at 400k PPD and we'll still be trying to firgure out how to hit 270K ppd.

We may not be the top dawg yet but we are highly respected in the folding community.

We do very well with as few active members as we have in comparison to [H]

As long as we keep up, we won't have as much ground to make up later when we might get that extra power in the future.

I'm topped right now but I'm getting a faster CPU for the SK41G Shuttle and faster memory for my Xeon duallie so I can fold QMDs @ 230MHz fsb :D

Don't know if the NB will hold up under that. Might have to get some pretty active cooling on it.

I would bet the hord and the aussy's have a more activy home site. Lets face it with a load of laptop articals we are not going to the ARMY we need. overclockers.com has got abit dry of late. Kyle has kept the H spiced up. And the aussy's are basicly socialist so they have been raised to help each other :) mate

Borg Her Up!
Any PC's I work on this summer I will ask to install FAH on. I'm already folding as much as I can here.

True. I can't believe someone could sit there with a clean conscience knowing F@H is causing a problem and costing the company he/she works for 50K in upgrades.

Once school starts up again after summer I'm gonna ask if I can run f@h on their computers. I think that's ≈200 x 2 GHz.
