View Full Version : Having a hard time findign an A64 Lappy

Im looking to buy my first laptop, and my requirements are sharp. im havign a hell of a time finding a A64 laptop.... all the manufactureers i go to have Intel powered rigs

my specifications are

A64 3000+ or better
60gb Hdd minimum
Dvd +/-rw
Wireless 11a/b/g
Light
1gig ram


i was searching all through Dell, HP, and even Gateways site. Although i heard gateways are crap.

i did however find a nice ABS rig on newegg, but ive heard the SIS chipset that they use is crap.

can anyone help me out? my price range is under 2000

*Edit* i just read "light" and i'm not sure how you define light from what i saw it was 8lb's and i've carried books around that weighed that much and only didnt like it well because i wasn't going to open up my biology book and start playing some solitare lol

A64 and light don't go together in the same sentence. Turion and light go together.

Anyway.

He seems happy with it and its FAST...
Not for gamers, but might be worth looking at
