I'm building a system and I want to get a video card that renders and outputs into 1080i ntsc standard.

I'm interested in getting
MSI X800XL
http://www2.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814127156

but I would like to know what

"SMOOTHVISION HD improved AA and AF performance for HD resolutions, 12X effective Temporal MSAA generates the sharpest and clearest images
VIDEOSHADER HD integrated shader features to provide unprecedented support for digital and high definition video"

means. I don't speak marketing-l33t

Is there any difference between these cards as far as deviation from reference design or memory quality? I know the powercolor one is refurbed but it doesn't really bother me.

Should I use a paired set of dvi cable for best output quality. Do they make twin dvi to hdmi cables? Does it even matter for 1080i (seems like a lot of unneeded bandwidth to me...).

Thanks

I have an X700pro, and I used the componant out for my HDTV. Honestly, I am completly happy with Ati's drivers in every way except for the high definition resolutions. I had to make a custom resolution of something like 1236x716 using CCC because the image(1280x720) wouldn't fit onto the screen(and 1080i looks like crap to me), but once I got it working I had no problems. Also, you may not experience this with DVI.
