car audio for a friend

i know this sound section is ment for comps, but didnt know what other section to put this in. My friend has a dodge intrepid, he wants new speakers and an mp3 player, but he would like a mp3 player that plays mp3 dvd's, price is an object, so not to high, but would like to find speakers and everything for him..... any suggestions?

grab a cheap pioneer/panasonic, and some coaxil speakers, infinity if possible

IDK if there are at all any units available in the world that can play MP3s off DVDs. I could be completely wrong about that though so feel free to correct me. AFAIK even DVD players that play MP3s play them off CDs, not DVDs...

www.crutchfield.com is a good place to look for car audio, prices I've heard are higher than most retail so look around. lots of great places to get good deals on car audio, specially in brick stores on products that may be one generation behind.

DVD's can be used as a prime medium, aka, just used for file storing, and i have a dvd player that can play MP3's off of DVD's, no problem, so yes, its rather common to have DVD mp3's,
