I'm in search of a mid-range video card. Is this a good choice?

I'm going to be putting it in an Asus A8N-E mobo with 1Gb Corsair Value Select memory.

Thanks,
Mike

If I had that kind of money...

At least suggest something that's in the same price range. :-/

personally i'm buying a refurbished 6600 non-gt from newegg - $70 will get you a card (might be missing the d-sub adapter) that's capable of 500/600 speeds with 8 pipelines, faster than any of the radeon 9800 pro/xt cards.

if you're a gambler, you could try a refurb 6200 (non turbocache) from newegg for $50, however there's a good chance its extra 4 pipelines are buggy and can't be unlocked, which is why it was sent back to newegg. no such risk exists for the 6600.
