What programmes should i use to test stability, i was reading here last week that i should test for openGL stability too, im running ATI tool right now, scanning for artifacts, dont know if this is any use? The card is a powercolour AIW 9800SE with 256bit mem, softmod is success. The cards for someone else so i want to make sure its good and stable first.

Check out the thread linked up in my signature in blue text, "Guidelines to Thorough Stability Testing". It goes into some detail on the topic of video card stability testing :).

To sum it up though, the 3DMark2001SE Nature test, looped, is one of the best graphics card stability testers out there. It gets both GPU core and GDDR memory temperatures right up to a peak, bringing out any instability in the form of visual artifacting. Loop the Nature test, and keep an eye on the screen as it runs. Instability will manifest itself through artifacting - graphical errors/distortions and texture mixups. Good luck :)
