I'm having a problem running 3dmark. When I start 3dmark05 instead of going to my oc core it goes to only 500. It only goes to my real oc core later, closer to the end of the first game test. Sometimes it works all the way through but mostly it doesn't.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

No one has come across this problem?

How can you tell that your core clock is changing??

I had weird problems too with my card. The clocks would drop for no reason in the middle of a test. I ended up just flashing the BIOS with the clocks I wanted, instead of trying to figure out what was wrong.

riviatunner

Yeah I use rivatuner. It starts 3dmark05 at 501 core which is the setting for low power 3d in rivatuner. My performance is at 596 but it doesn't go as that.
It's also doing it in aquamark.

Well I got control of my low power 3d settings and set those to the same as my performance 3d settings. Now it ran 3dmark fine the first time trough. The second time in the middle of the second game it brings the core speed down to 300(my 2d setting). I hit esc and tried to run from the beginning. Well it tries running the games at 300 core. I have no clue as to what is going on now.

Hmm i would try Fishy's advice and reflash your cards bios with the speeds you want.

Wouldn't I need a bios that has those clock speeds standard. I don't think one exists for 594/1220.
The card worked fine before I reformatted. I tried again today setting low power 3d back to 500 core and when it runs 3dmark05 it runs it in low power 3d. I'm not sure why it is going on. I tried several drivers and they all did the same thing. I'm not sure what else to try.
